Homestead Barns sheds, barns, cabins and garages for Hillsdale, Reading, Montgomery, Camden and the rest of Hillsdale County, Michigan.
Hillsdale, Reading, Montgomery and Camden are included in the Michigan communities we serve. The building is made by Homestead Barns; Michiana Barns helps you choose it and arranges the quote and delivery. There is no separate Michigan delivery policy to work out: send the property address so we can confirm yours.
For a first look, the gallery shows the styles, and the designer lets you arrange a building. Save the size and layout you have chosen so you have something specific to discuss with the office responsible for your lot.
And the countryside around them: send us the address and we’ll confirm your delivery.
Delivery is free within 40 miles of Topeka, Indiana, and charged by the mile past that; a Michigan address is on the same terms as an Indiana one. Send us the address where the building is going and we’ll confirm your delivery. Any delivery charge is on your quote before you order anything.
Homestead Barns builds every building to order, typically in 3–4 weeks, up to 5–6 weeks in the busy season, and it arrives fully assembled. Homestead Barns can also build it on your spot instead, for 20% more than the base price. Getting your spot ready has what delivery needs.
We have not verified current permit requirements for Hillsdale County. Contact your township, city or village office and ask who handles zoning and building permits at the property address. If it sends you to a county or state office for part of the process, confirm that with the receiving office before you order.
A Hillsdale, Reading, Montgomery or Camden mailing address is a starting point for finding the property, not a permit decision. Ask which jurisdiction the parcel is in and whether the building’s proposed location and use are allowed. Include the width and length; do not assume a small building, or a building delivered finished, is automatically exempt.
Ask what the office needs to decide: a site sketch, distances from boundaries, details about the intended use, or building information from Homestead. We do not publish a local snow-load figure, footing requirement or shed exemption without a verified source. If the office requests a specification that is not on your quote, let us know and we will check what is available rather than guess.
Permits, setbacks and anchoring are the customer’s responsibility. This is a starting point, not legal advice, and rules change: check with the office before you order. How permits work here.
